Marion Co. Banquet at JH
Owner and developer of Jasper Highlands John "Thunder" Thornton recently opened the doors of his beautiful mountaintop community to the Marion County Chamber of Commerce for their annual membership banquet atop Pat's Summitt.
Marion County, location of Jasper Highlands, is a beautiful community nestled between the mighty Tennessee River and the majestic mountain ranges just 25 minutes from The Scenic City of Chattanooga. The stated misson of Marion County's Chamber of Commerce is "to promote business interest and protect the free enterprise system in Marion County, to pursue a healthy economy and strive for a better quality of life in our community."
The members of the Chamber of Commerce enjoyed dinner, entertainment, and great fellowship underneath the beautiful Open Air Pavilion at Pat's Summitt. President Spencer Wayne opened the banquet by welcoming all guests including the Chamber's Board of Directors, Marion County Mayor David Jackson, Tennessee State Senator Janice Bowling, and other members of the Chamber of Commerce.
As Jasper Highlands continues to grow, so will Marion County and nearby local businesses. As State Senator Janice Bowling observed at a previous event held at Jasper Highlands, "I'm excited about the economic development. This will create an economic cascading of the people up here who will be able to then buy their homes, buy their furnishings, go to the doctors, buy their groceries. And these people up here are going to be bringing skill sets to this community that will be so wonderful, and everyone will benefit in the process."
Overall the Marion County Chamber of Commerce's Annual Banquet was another great event at Jasper Highlands - beautiful mountain views, great food & entertainment, and lots of Southern hospitality!
