The Progress Continues at Jasper Highlands

Updates from Jasper Highlands

  • Seasonably warm with some rain in the forecast this last week of May at Jasper Highlands.
  • The average day/night temperature for this time of year on our section of theCumberland Plateau is 77 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • I stopped at Lot # 9 recently to chat with John and Sara Roth, originally from Hilbert, Wisconsin. They are really excited about their new retirement home now under construction on the east bluff of Jasper Highlands. As one drives to the construction site, it is easy to see why they are so excited....just look at the view! The Roth's new home is around 2,500 square feet, with 3 bedrooms, vaulted ceilings and an angled floor plan to emphasize the fabulous scenery. And, as shown in the photograph, the rear of the home has been customized to take advantage of the timeless view. The water in the photograph is Lake Nickajack and the Tennessee River.
  • The new spec home by Michael's Homes is shown in the photographs. This home is on a level 1.5+/- acre property that has both east and west long range views. This beautiful 3 BR home has 2,110 square feet of heated space. The home has lots of glass and 1,105 square feet of porches, designed for the new owner to fully appreciate the magnificent scenery! The exterior is natural field stone and Hardie siding. The home has a fireplace, Andersen 400 series windows, 10' ceilings and 2' x 6'walls. Kostas Iannios is Michael's Homes representative for Jasper Highlands. He is truly excited to be involved with Jasper Highlands and expressed to me that he has four more new custom homes in the design phase. He stated that most all of these new homes are included in the Jasper Highlands Plateau Collection of homes that is available in our office.
  • The new custom homes on Lot #197 (almost finished), by Larry Furrow Construction, and #41, which has a 2nd floor view of Lake Nickajack and the Tennessee River (by Michael's Homes) are also featured.
  • Trenching continues for the city water lines currently being installed. This project will continue to proceed until all properties have access to city water.
