A great BBQ on the mountain!
On Thursday afternoon, September 13, Jasper Highlands hosted a BBQ for local government officials and select guests. The objective of this event was to allow local officials and guests (some from nearby Chattanooga) to see Jasper Highlands and realize, on a personal basis, what a very special place is taking shape in their back yard! The result was great fellowship and great food, while listening to some great Tennessee folk music!
As shown, the views from Highlands Pavilion (now known as Pat's Summitt....in honor of the legendary University of Tennessee coach) only added to the great atmosphere of the event. Owner/developer John Thornton and President Dane Bradshaw spoke to the group and reviewed the progress and future plans for Jasper Highlands.
After the sun had set behind the mountains to the west of Jasper Highlands, as I walked among the tall Chestnut Oaks on Highlands Pavilion, I noticed that every guest left the mountain with a smile on their face. Some things speak without words.
