Some have already dubbed Jasper Highlands as 'Tennessee's Premier Mountain Community '... and I have even heard 'Gatlinburg West...Without the Crowds'. Realization of such themes is taking shape right before our eyes. Tucked away within the serenity and beautiful scenery of Jasper Mountain, yet only 7 minutes from the small town of Kimball located on I-24, and but 25 minutes from Chattanooga, Jasper Highlands offers the 'perfect location'. As the photos indicate, work has begun on paving the roads within Jasper Highlands, and the work on widening/paving the new access road up the south face of Jasper Mountain is also underway. This one-of-a-kind access road will eventually be two lanes, 20' wide with 3' shoulders either side. So what you say? The view, it is the view from this winding mountain road that will cause travelers to pause and grab the camera! Southward across the Tennessee River Valley to the mountains beyond ... west to South Pittsburgh Mountain, on to the mountains to the west toward Monteagle ... the view from Jasper Highlands Boulevard is nothing short of fabulous! Electricity is currently being run and the city water project has recently received positive news. Progress on Jasper Mountain is everywhere you look! The goal along this 2-mile stretch of new road up Jasper Mountain is to not only to preserve the natural beauty of the mountain but also to provide a Tennessee scene to be remembered! Jasper Highlands ... can't possibly remain Tennessee's best kept secret much longer.
