We are building a lifestyle and community where our clients can enjoy the great outdoors and the comfort of their homes within the safety of Jasper Highlands.
We have formed a team of professionals that truly care about the people they serve and the mountain they design and build on. Michael’s favorite thing about the mountain, besides those unparalleled views, is the sense of community that continues to be created. “I’m driven by the opportunity to design unique homes to fit the character and lifestyle of each resident. It’s important, on such pristine and exclusive lots, to build a home that functions specifically for the site, as well as for the owner,” stated Michael. “With landowners already from 38 states and several countries, being a part of the creative process to help forge this community is a formidable but very rewarding challenge.”
A graduate of the University of Tennessee with his Bachelor of Architecture. He spent four years designing mountain homes for an award-winning residential architecture firm in Vail, Colorado before relocating to Chattanooga in 2010. Prior to joining Jasper Highlands Homes full time in 2016, Michael designed the Pavilion at Pat’s Summitt, the Gazebodacious, and the Wellness Center and Café.
Michael enjoys meeting with lot owners as they begin to think about building, working with them on the initial design concepts, layout, and styling of the home. Michael is involved in the entire design process and throughout the build. He is there to ensure that the home follows the detail of the plans, answer any questions from the Project Managers, and make the process as smooth as possible for the future homeowners.
His favorite part of the design process, by far, is seeing the excitement on his client's faces once the construction process is complete. Knowing that he helped them create their dream home on the mountain, and to see the fruits of hours of drawings and conversations and sometimes tough decisions – that is the real reward.
Greg is Jasper Highlands Homes’ in-house draftsman. Working closely with the architect and designers, Greg helps to draw the construction documents and revise the plans throughout the design and build process. One of his favorite aspects of the design process is space planning. “I like problem-solving and space planning. Clients bring us floor plans they have clipped from magazines or drawn on a napkin,” said Greg. “However, they just can’t get things to work to their liking. There is always something that they can’t fit in or arrange to their satisfaction. That’s where I come in and assist the team in resolving the problem with a solution that makes their plans unique and their own.”
Greg fits right in with the outdoor culture on Jasper Highlands, he loves hiking with one of his favorite destinations being Alaska where he spent two weeks camping and hiking with friends. So, don’t be surprised to find Greg on the 100 plus miles of hiking trails throughout the mountain.
A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology, Greg graduated magna cum laude in 2012 with his Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Greg continues to hone his craft under the watchful eye of chief architect Michael Bridges and is preparing for the Tennessee Architect licensing process.
You won’t find anyone more fervent and enthusiastic about designing homes that improve the quality of life for their owners than Haley.
Haley is passionate about providing our clients a new home-building experience that takes the stress out of having to fret over the many meticulous details that go into building the perfect home. Haley believes the home buying experience should be fun, exciting, and most importantly stress-free. “I think so many people start to design a custom home and frankly just get overwhelmed by trying to make every detail perfect. Suddenly you're spending your hard-earned money on something that isn’t as much fun as you always dreamed it would be,” she explains. “Our team at Jasper Highlands Homes is committed to ensuring that your buying and building experience is nothing short of amazing.”
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Haley has her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She is already a world traveler having been to Europe on three occasions visiting nine countries and most recently traveling to Southeast Asia. While she loves studying the different types of architecture and design trends around the globe you’ll find her to be quite the cook as well, picking up on the unique cuisines from her travels.
Haley is engaging, experienced, and genuine. Her fondness for people and a keen eye for design will make your home buying and building experience enjoyable and satisfying.
So, what does Haley do to unwind? You’ll find her on one of the many trails in Jasper Highlands taking in the gorgeous views, boating on one of the beautiful lakes along the Tennessee River, or cuddled up with Nola her pup eating guacamole and watching Netflix.
Like the rest of our team, Melinda has bought into the vision that Jasper Highlands Homes has for the mountain and the community we are building. No one day is like another,” says Melinda. “Each day brings new people and new projects. It is never dull. The team of people we have is exceptional and the creativity generated by our relationships is energizing. Being a part of this is a very special experience.”
Melinda is a great listener. She has a knack for being able to take a few ideas from her clients and extrapolate these ideas into a beautiful and cohesive design throughout their new home. She started designing and building in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia area in the late 90s, then in the Raleigh, North Carolina area, later in Chattanooga and has now come full circle to designing for Jasper Highlands Homes just 20 minutes from her high school alma mater located on Monteagle Mountain. Melinda attended Hollins University in Roanoke, VA and graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta with her Bachelor of Fine Arts.
On weekends you’ll find Melinda exploring the Chattanooga Market with her kids, sampling the local fare, cooking for family and friends as well as well as caring for a very bashful Plott Hound and one ornery cat.
Rick has been a homeowner in Jasper Highlands for over a year. “Calling Jasper Highlands my personal home makes it even more special than if I only just worked here,” said Rick. “I have a passion both professionally and personally to make everyone’s home building process a great one. The wildlife, sunsets and the homes that we build all contribute to our beautiful mountain.”
Rick started Rick Cosper Homes back in the 80s in Atlanta, Georgia. After 30 years he retired to the mountain. Fortunate for us, we were able to coax him out of retirement. Rick enjoys working with the new homeowners that are not only his clients but soon to be his neighbors. He understands the importance of the trust that must be in place between the builder and homeowner and holds that trust with the highest of care.
Rick played college football at Lenoir Rhyne College. However; his true allegiance has remained to his home state – GO DAWGS! This makes the Fall time of year interesting and fun with the different SEC allegiances we have on staff.
Ray grew up around the mountains. He has a deep appreciation for the beauty and serenity that encapsulates Jasper Highlands. “The views are unmatched and breathtaking. I love coming to work here each day,” said Ray. “Nothing excites me and brings me the fulfillment as building a home in a natural setting.”
Ray has been involved in Real Estate his entire career. He graduated from the University of Alabama with his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate. He started building homes in 2000 in Atlanta. Prior to coming to work for Jasper Highlands Homes, he was remodeling kitchens and baths for six years in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Ray’s gift is being able to visualize a home where currently there are only trees. It’s this creative outlet that continues to motivate him each day.
Dean has been in the construction industry his entire life having helped his father in his HVAC business as a teenager. He quickly fell in love with the 360-degree views from atop of Jasper Highlands, its proximity to Chattanooga, Nashville, Atlanta and The Great Smokey Mountains, not to mention the top rate team at Jasper Highlands Homes.
Residential construction is Dean’s second career. One that he has enjoyed for some 20 years. A graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology, he spent his first 16 years as a construction engineer and later as a startup testing engineer building and testing nuclear power plants.
While serving on the forefront of the nuclear power industry was at times exhilarating and filled with challenges, Dean admits that nothing has brought him the level of satisfaction as building dream homes for clients in some of the most beautiful settings in the world. “Nothing beats the satisfaction you feel after meeting with a family and seeing the pure joy on their face as they walk through their newly completed home,” said Dean. “It makes those long tiring days on the mountain feel like a Spring vacation and then you’re ready to build ten more.”
